Arguing about Global Warming

After listening to the Global Warming  segment of the podcast, does anyone else have any input?

  • Do you have any arguments or positions that were left out of the segment?
  • Do you have any personal experiences with arguing with someone about the cause of global warming?
  • Does anyone have an experiences with crazy liberal or major conservative teachers who want you to see their side, even at the cost of education?  If so please share.  (I’m refering to teachers who go off on wild tangents and then forget what they were talking about.)
  • Does anyone agree or disagree with the information on the segment?

Where do you surf on Pensacola Beach?

We all know winter is the best season around here for surfing. The swells are bigger and more consistent. So why not take any opportunity (given this time of year) and hit up the beach for a  little session?!?! After stopping by your local surfshop Innerlight in P-town or the Breeze for wax and the newest wet suit, where is it that YOU personally find the best spot to catch a wave? Dont be stingy and keep it to yourself, post your favorite spot when the weather is right and the surf is perfect!

What Do You Know About Going Off Grid?

What do you know about going off the grid? Do you live off the grid? Do you know somebody who lives off the grid? Have you studied or fantasized about living off the grid?

What can be done to go off the grid? What can be grown? What can be built? What can be worked upon? The more creative the better.

[International Affairs]

Have you ever traveled abroad [lucky] and noticed practices of sustainability? For example in our podcast, we talked about how China has recently banned the use of plastic bags [not handbags--dont worry ladies] and how Brazil controls the amount of cars on the roadways by only allowing certian cars to drive on certain days.
