It’s obvious that you did some research on the topic. The debate was interesting, and you have some valid points. With as many things as we are doing it’s sad to see that there is still a negative impact from our efforts to stop, or improve the situation. The podcast was well prepared.
You did a magnificent job debating both points of view. This was well prepared information utilizing several sources. Well done son!!! You make a mama proud!
Good job on the debate; you’ve been debating since you were very young! Seriously, I’m proud of you for all of your efforts in the class, getting the Podcast together, and man-ing up.
P.S. We’re (humans and especially Americans) are pretty arrogant to think we’re impacting the environment so profoundly. What about the Earth’s magnetic field weakening (due to the poles swapping)? This is what protects the planet from solar radiation. What about the theory that we’re still coming out of the ice age? What about raping the rain forest for wood for our fancy furniture?
The reaction to this dilemma in more fuel efficient cars, cleaner energy sources, recycling is all good. But ‘Global Warming’ is government scare language. And every action has an equally negative reaction (like what are we going to do with all these Mercury filled neon light bulbs the Fed’s are mandating? We already have a battery disposal issue from all our electronic gadgetry).
I’m glad you’re generation is engaging in this debate.
Timm not only did you finish your own segment and make it sound good but you helped everybody finish their segments to. Thanks for your help you did an awesome job.
Hey Timm,
That was a pretty hefty amount of work you had to do. And your global warming debate alone is friggin awesome. Thanks for helping me with my tea.
S.
yea i completely agree with you robert…it seems like each attempt mankind makes to rectify this situation leads to another problem…the “american lifestyle” and mercury-filled lightbulbs are a major issue commonly overlooked do to the biased publicity of their positive effects.
Rachel and Sarah thank you both for recognizing my efforts with my own segment and your’s as well.
Thank you Chris, Kim, and Laura for your compliments on my work and sexy voice.
“I was watching inconvenient truth the other day and theres the bit where it shows the sea level rising really high and flooding most of the world. Well i live near the sea, and don’t want to drown, so i got to thinking. Maybe if we lower the sea level a bit, when the water level rises then it won’t rise high enough to flood.
Anyway, heres the plan. Everyone who can should take a bucket of sea water and pour it down the sink. If lots of people put the effort in, we could lower the sea level substantially and create a better world for our children to live.”
Timm this is awesome!!! Global warming is sweet.
Timm the debate is awesome!!! There is some good debating in this! The burning of the fossil fuel stuff in the 1800′s is really meaty!
Thank you Steven and Marty for taking time to listen to and leave comments about the global warming debate.
Great job TIMM (with two mm’s — like M&M’s)

DECENT! Definitely wouldn’t have been as intriguing without the sexy voice and intellect of Timm Showalter.
